Halloween in Heaven
I do not own most of the material here.
You can't stop here, this is bat country.
The Beautiful People by Shehzil Malik
Shehzil’s psychedelic tribute to the artists that inspire her drag some iconic artists kicking and biting into the modern world. Andy Warhol’s cover photo on Facebook is a beautiful touch.

The kiss of death.
This astonishing sculpture forms part of Barcelona’s Poblenou Cemetery. The Kiss of Death (El Petó de la Mort in Catalan and El beso de la muerte in Spanish) dates back to 1930. A winged skeleton bestows a kiss on the lips of a handsome young man: is it ecstasy on his face or resignation? Little wonder the sculpture elicits strong and varying responses from whoever gazes upon it.
“I’m Gentleman Death in silk and lace, come to put out the candles. I am the canker in the rose.”

“A hipster to me is someone who kind of dresses up like an artist, but they don’t actually make anything. So all of y’all people who call me a hipster can go fuck yourselves because I make shit all the goddamn time. People are like, ‘You wear skinny jeans.’ These are 501s, man! Fucking straight.” - Joseph Gordon-Levitt

The rest of my series with Tyler.
A collaboration between myself, Tyler Schneider, and another photographer in town: Bob Williams— so many “thank you’s” to him for finding this incredible location.
The strange thing about working with Tyler is that every shot portrays a different emotion. I can never take consistent photos of this man, he just has too much versatility. I can’t help it.
This is my bad ass friend Kayla’s photography page. She’s incredibly talented and creative, CHECK HER OUT!!!
truebluemeandyou: “I Am Who They Were” Necklace by Artist Ashley Gilreath 2011. Reblogging because I am going to make this on a much smaller scale by using dollhouse frames/bezels and taken apart lockets (I could also make the frames by making a polymer clay mold). I would then print out photos on transparency paper (which I use all the time in my collages). *Another cheap gift idea I’ve done - print out a high contrast black and white photo on transparency paper and use neon green, white, or whatever color you want to back it with.
“I Am Who They Were” Necklace by Artist Ashley Gilreath 2011. Read the history behind this amazing piece and see more photos at Ashley Gilreath here. This has been all over Tumblr without attribution. Ms. Gilreath created this necklace by casting dollhouse frames in silver and bronze and printing family portraits directly onto microscope glass.
I would love to do something like this. Amazing artist.
